I’m not an expert. I’m an ordinary mum. No super powers. No perfect children. No spotless home. No organic quinoa.
What do I have? A husband and two very active boys under three. A healthy sense of fun. An overactive imagination. An ability to laugh at myself…and coffee. Lots of coffee.
I have loved writing for a very long time. In high school I wrote a “novel” for my friends to read. I dreamed of becoming an author. But life happened and I became a nurse – and they actively discourage creative writing in nursing, so that dream got pushed aside.
When I became a mum I discovered that with the responsibilities of parenting comes the joy of laughing at the crazy and stupid things your kids do. I started writing about the good parts to help me remember them, and the bad parts to help me through them. I realised I’d never run out of new material. And this blog was born.
The truth is, I’m just another mummy blogger telling the world about my kids. But please don’t let that scare you off. That’s not such a bad thing. I want to share the funny side of some of the chaos involved in parenting. I hope it makes you smile, or even laugh.
Thanks for stopping by.
